New Features
- Security
- Included Windows File Share permissions in logic to determine which users have access to server indexed content.
- Added the ability to remove a network share from the list of shares to index.
Bug Fixes
- Scanner
- Fixed a bug that stopped the file scanner on encountering an error. Now the file scanner will automatically restart and skip the file that caused the error condition. If the file scanner crashes five times in five seconds, it will be put on hold.
- Published Searches
- Fixed a bug that removed permissions when saved searches are edited.
- Email
- Fixed a bug that showed GroupWise email address formats as [] and Internal Exchange email address formats as [/]
- Fixed a bug that caused two windows to open for Outlook emails that were archived in KVS.
- Other
- Fixed a bug where X1 failed to maximize when the first search after login was conducted from the Deskbar or Outlook Toolbar.
- Fixed a bug where the user had to refresh the server twice in order to be able to select a renamed published search.

New Features
- Server
- Created the ability for the system administrator to index server based content and create saved searches and publish them to users.
- Browser
- Created the ability for the user to search above published searches in a browser client.
- User Interface
- Modified the "specify file types" dialog box to automatically content index all recognized file types
- When switching between searches, if the selected item in the first search is in the second search, the results pane will automatically go to that item. Otherwise it will go to the first result in the second search.
- Other
- Modified the behavior of reporting error logs for errors that do not crash X1. These are now sent with the daily usage logs if the "upload daily usage statistics" is checked.
- Modified the logging feature to turn it on for all beta users
- Added a feature that automatically reinstalls Stellent if X1 detects any problems with its installation
Bug Fixes
- Files
- Fixed a problem where word docs were improperly highlighting and +/- appeared not to function
- Added an error message when you try to preview a file that is open
- Fixed a bug that prevented previewing of files that the user started to delete from the index but then cancelled deletion
- Fixed a bug that prevented the scanner from scanning files with Unicode characters
- User Interface
- Fixed a bug that allowed the user to attempt to open any file as a saved search file
- Fixed a bug that moved the scroll bar to the first item in the list after deleting an item in the search results
- Fixed a bug that caused the saved search registry key to remain upon uninstall
- Crashes
- Fixed a bug that allowed saved searches to be created with a beginning space and thereby crash X1.
- Fixed a crash when the user changed permissions on x1 files
X1 Supported Platforms Guide
X1 Technologies goes out of its way to explicitly test our products with a number of third-party products. Our goal is to test and validate that our products work with those products our customers and partners use most frequently. Just because a particular version of the third-party software is not listed on the supported platforms guide does not mean that the product will not work with X1, just that we do not explicitly test that version of the application.

- Access - Unable to preview Access Database Formats beyond Version 2.0 or indexing any Access Database formats.
